Filter Upgrade Service
Since 1966 Nebraska Air Filter has been a
leader in upgrading and renovating all kinds of low efficiency
filtration systems. From upgrading inefficient automatic roll filter
units to installing medium efficiency pleated filter systems to
smoke/mist collecting systems in industrial applications, NAF has "seen
it all." John Manhart realized early on that many customers were living
with indoor air quality problems that had relatively easy solutions. By
removing old inefficient systems and replacing them with appropriate
filtration systems, John saw system upgrades as a way to add the
benefits of proper filtration thus saving on equipment downtime and
increased air quality for all involved.
Filter system upgrades can come in all shapes and sizes. From simply
switching to more efficient pleated filters in existing systems to much
more complicated engineered designs, system air volume and filter face
velocity are considered as the design process evolves. Putting in the
wrong filters for the wrong application could be disastrous for any
customer! Working with architects, engineers, mechanical designers,
building engineers, and HVAC contractors over the years has allowed good
working relationships to help in the design process. One Omaha
industrial customer had such a smoke and oil mist problem that seeing
from one end of the plant to the other was almost impossible most days!
Again, with good working relationships with all parties involved, John
was able to design a high efficiency filtration system into the existing
air handling units on the rooftop that handily and efficiently cleaned
up the problem. Over a several month period, workers from Nebraska Air
Filter removed parts of the old inefficient system and installed high
efficiency bag filters with pleated prefilters in its place. Many, many
other customers have enjoyed similar benefits because of increased
indoor air quality.
Many bars, restaurants, keno parlors and bingo halls have enjoyed the
cleaned up atmosphere that comes with filter system upgrades. NAF's
approach is simple: try to work within the existing HVAC system to
improve air quality. Many times and existing filter rack may be expanded
to allow high efficiency filtration while the upgrade remains invisible
to the patrons! Other competitors would rather hang electronic or other
air cleaners in the space. This detracts from the look of the place and
can cause unnecessary drafts in a space. One Omaha restaurant had a
smoke problem coming from its lounge area. NAF designed an air cleaner
that sat above a closet area, but was open to the lounge area itself.
This pulled the smoke filled air above the patrons and allowed the air
to change in the lounge area several times per hour without smoke coming
into the eating area and bothering non-smoking customers. Only the
owner/manager knew the unit was there! All others ate and enjoyed
themselves in comfort!
Many aspects of filtration upgrades are considered. Obviously, increased
filtration efficiency is a major consideration. Other considerations are
noise level, easy access for filter changes, proper design and proper
airflow are only a few of the many facets of an upgrade. Let Nebraska
Air Filter help you with your air quality problems!
