Filter Route Service

Since 1966 NAF has been the leader in the Nebraska, Iowa, and surrounding region for filter changing service. Today, almost 40 years later, the NAF Service Department has over 1,600 customers and is the fastest growing segment of the whole company. This is attributable to the steady and ongoing leadership of John Manhart and the current Service Manager, Ed Richardson. Ed has been with the company since 1981 and has been Service Manager since 1986. The average Serviceman for NAF has been with the company close to 10 years. That type of dedication, hard work, and leadership is what has led NAF to the forefront of Filter Service Companies in the whole U.S. Few companies in the whole country have that type of track record!

All customer accounts are serviced on a scheduled, routed basis for customer convenience since 1966. This type of service allows accurate and timely filter changes to keep up with heating and air conditioning and building ventilation demands. Hundreds of commercial building owners and managers along with several heating and air conditioning contractors and industrial accounts rely on NAF filter changes. This allows them to figuratively and literally "breathe easier" knowing a good company is providing this much-needed service at fair and reasonable prices. Even though customers are scheduled, filters that do not need changing, do not get changed. This legacy is testimony to John and Ed's determination to be fair and honest with customers. Metal filter frames are typically provided to customers on loan. These frames allow easy upgrade of filter material if the customer or situation demand upgrade. Every one of the eight full-time Servicemen, including 2 out-of-town men, gives full dedication to doing the job right the first time with next to NO callbacks! Again, this speaks to the fairness and honesty that is a hallmark of Nebraska Air Filter!

The Service business has changed somewhat since 1966. Today each Serviceman has a van roof-mounted extension ladder for easy, safe access to rooftops. Because of an invention known as the "Swivel Stick," a ladder system that swivels on a steel base, Servicemen have safely and quickly ascended to and descended from rooftops for more than 20 years. John Manhart utilized the "Swivel Stick" with ease of use in mind and the product has even sold to other Filter Service companies around the country who needed a simple and safe way to access rooftops. Another Service Department original is the Grease Filter wash system designed by John and implemented by Ed and his men for more than five years now. It is a stainless steel tank capable of holding 12-15 filters at a time with circulating hot water and agitating water jets to help clean even the most hard to clean grease filters. A soft water system installed later helps utilize the special soap that's used to get the grease filters "squeaky" clean. Many Omaha and Lincoln area restaurants are among NAF's customers who enjoy this much-needed service.
